A two member team consisting of Professor Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, PhD, Honorable Vice Chancellor and Mr. Kaushik Sarker, Assistant Professor & Associate Head, Department of Software Engineering, Daffodil international University (DIU) visited Al-Qalam University, Katsina (AUK), Nigeria from July 7 to July 12, 2019. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a ToT and training of administration to establish a new Software Engineering Department and bachelor degree program at that university under a MOA signed by the two universities prior to this visit. The objective was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between two universities and explore the future opportunities for improvement and assessment of quality of education provided by AUK. Two delegates also met relevant high authorities including the president of the Islamic Foundation and Professor Shehu Garki Ado, Honorable VC of AUK. On their return journey, they also met His Excellency Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission at Abuja, Nigeria with the purpose of strengthening and promoting the education of Bangladesh in Nigeria.
