UN Permanent Representative of Bangladesh and Ambassador Masud Bin Momen, Daffodil Family Chairman Dr. Md. Sabur Khan and CEO Mohammad Nuruzzaman along with distinguished guests and Alumni at the Daffodil Alumni North American Reunion 2019 held in New York in the USA.

Daffodil Alumni North American Reunion 2019 was held in New York in the USA on June 15, 2019 through the river cruise started from Sky Port Marina by ‘The Empire Cruise’ towards the Statue of Liberty with the Daffodil Alumni. The   Alumni got the opportunity to recollect their memories, exchanging and sharing views and would join fun and cultural events. The river cruise turned into a great gathering of Daffodillians coming from different part of North America.
Around 60 thousands Daffodil Alumni are staying in different countries of the world including Bangladesh holding potential, pride and key positions. The main objective of this reunion is to form a Global Network of Daffodil Alumni uniting country wide non- resident Daffodil Alumni Network and utilizing this collective network for the development of Bangladesh using their experience and expertise for positioning Bangladesh,

UN Permanent Representative of Bangladesh and Ambassador Masud Bin Momen  graced the occasion as the chief guest while Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family was present as the special guest in the program. Beside this, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Mohamed Emran Hossain, Chief Operating Officer and other high officials of Daffodil Family attended the program. Mr. Ziaul Haque Sumon, President, DIU Alumni Association conducted the program. More than 200 Daffodil Alumni and their Family Members participated in the reunion program.  
While addressing as the chief guest Mr. Masud Bin Momen said that it’s really a praised matter to arrange such kind of reunion program in North America by Daffodil Family. Developed countries use their alumni to enhance their organizational development and through which total country becomes benefited. He thanked Daffodil for arranging this program.
Mr. Masud Bin Momen also said that fourth industrial revolution is knocking at the door. Technology is developing and gradually changing rapidly. Daffodil as an IT based conglomerate of the country can play a vital role to face the technological development challenges. In this regard he mentioned that that Bangladesh has been achieved a tremendous success in technology sector under the adviser ship and of Prime Minister’s ICT advisor.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said that ‘emotion’ is one of our major strength, If we can properly utilize this emotion we can gain a lot. We need to be united, not  to split. That’s why we want to make a platform with Daffodil alumni through which Daffodil Alumni spreading all over the world can be brought under one umbrella, so that they can work for the country’s development through this platform.
Daffodil Group CEO Mohammad Nuruzzaman said that a website named ‘non residence Daffodil Alumni London Chapter’ already been made. Now we will build same website for North America like London chapter.
