Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University is leading the signing ceremony among 6 partner’s universities of the Member States of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) collaborative universities on ACD MBA where Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Quatar H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was present.

An agreement was signed among 6 partner’s universities of the Member States of Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) collaborative universities on ACD MBA at Doha, Qatar on May 1, 2019.  Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, BoT of DIU led Daffodil International University in this ACD MBA signing ceremony in Doha, Qatar where 16th Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) being held under the chairmanship of Qatar.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Quatar H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani opened the 16th Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) and was present during signing the agreement. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu; and ACD Secretary-General Bundit Limschoon also addressed the first session. General Vijay Kumar Singh, Indian State Minister for External Affairs General Vijay Kumar Singh,  Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Saifuddin Bin Abdullah,  Mr. Ashud Ahmed, Bangladesh Ambassador to Quatar and Ms. Nahid Sumana, Director General from Bangladesh and 34 Foreign Minister of different countries including Member State countries of ACD.

The high-profile meeting is witnessing gathering of foreign ministers and other senior leaders from countries from Asian continent which hosts more than half the world’s population and produces about 40 percent of the world’s industrial production.
 
Under this agreement, Students can start ACD MBA at DIU and after the completion of some courses they can transfer their credits to any of the partner universities which will accept all the credits completed at DIU. For example, a student can complete 20 credits at DIU and rest of the credits s/he can take from any partner university in Malaysia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Iran, Philippines, and Korea etc. This ACD MBA will focus on cultural and multinational learning experience, global networking etc. which will create international employment opportunities for the ACD MBA holders. International faculty members from various countries of the world will teach courses in this ACD MBA. Even at DIU, professors from partner universities may teach as Visiting Professors.

The universities signed the ACD MBA are Daffodil International University of Bangladesh, Asia e University of Malaysia, RIMT University of India, University of Surabayia of Indonesia, Siam University of Thailand, and Our Lady of Fatima University of Philippines.
