Daffodil International University (DIU) cricket team became Runner Up in the Man’s Cricket Final of Bangabandhu Inter University Sports Champ -2019. The final match was held yesterday on 15th April 2019 at permanent campus of Daffodil International University at Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka. In the final match Daffodil International University cricket team was defeated by American International University of Bangladesh by 115 run. On the other hand, in the Female Cricket Final, Gano Bishawbiddayloy became champion and South East University became runner up in the same venue and same date.

Mr. Nazmul Hasan Papon, MP, President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was present at the Medal distribution ceremony distributed medals among the winners as the chief guest while Mr. Naimur Rahman Durjoy,MP, Member of the parliamentary standing committee on Youth and Sports and Director of BCB was present as the special guest. Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU presided over the program. Ministry of Youth and Sports organized this “Bangabondhu Inter University Sports Champ 2019 where 65 Private and Public University participated in different categories.
