Students’ Writing Exhibition organized by Writing Center, Department of English held on 1st April 2019 at the Auditorium of Uttara Campus of Daffodil International University. Mr. Mostofa Kamal, Executive Editor ,The Daily Kaler Kantho was present in the Exhibition as the chief guest. Presided over by Mr. Anil Chandra Paul, Director (Administration ) , Uttara Campus, the function was addressed by Ms. Shampa Iftakhar, Convener of Writing Center & Assistant Professor, Department of English.
Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Mostafa Kamal said, Though creativity is natural, but there is no alternate of reading, Presenting his academic and professional life briefly He also said, knowledge gained from reading of additional books besides text books reaches a man near to his dream. He appreciated their tasks and emphasized on their reading and writing habits.
He urged the students to be the earnest seekers of knowledge so that they could explore the potentialities: hidden and locked within himself. He restated the importance of reading and writing. He also ensured students about the bright prospects in the print media.
More than 100 students showcased their creative tasks in banner, poster and framed photographs.
This Writing Center is offering its service since the beginning of Spring 2019 semester to improve learners’ efficacy both in academic and creative writing. This exhibition was the first step to engage learners in such demanding task. Such activity along with their academic curriculum will broaden their scope in career and give an intensive care to bolster students’ academic and creative writing skill.
