Daffodil International University (DIU) organized the lunching ceremony of the book ‘The Story of Sakichi Toyoda & Prospects of Education in Japan’ in Bangali held today on 19 March, 2019 at 71 Milonayon of the university. Mr. Hiroyasu Izumi, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh was present the program as the chief guest while Ms. Machiko Yamamura, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh and Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University were present as the special guests. Presided over by Prof. Dr. Yousuf Mahubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, the program was also addressed by Mr. Masudur Rahaman, Author of the translated copy of the Book “The Story of Sakichi Toyoda” and Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs. Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. FazlulHoque, Registrar were also present at the program.
While addressing as the chief guest Mr. Hiroyasu Izumi said that ‘The Story of Sakichi Toyoda’ is a very famous book in Japan. I am very pleased to hear that the book has been translated into Bengali. Sakichi Toyoda is an exceptional character and also a hero of innovation in Japan.  Bangladeshi children would learn how to do hard work, be an open minded and be a dreamer through reading this book. In the meantime he gave thanked to all who are involved in publishing the book in Bangla.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said that Sakichi Toyoda was a boy of physically weak but not in mentally. His mental strength was unbelievable. He became entrepreneur when he was only 15 years old. He has lot of contribution in Japanese economy. It’s our great pleasure that his struggle of life is now in Bangla. I express hope that this book will inspire our children to become an entrepreneur.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan also said that we have lot of things to learn from SakichiToyoda. He is a great example for becoming successful through avoiding physical barrier and only depend on mental strength.
It may mentioned that ‘The Story of Sakichi Toyoda’ has been translated in Bangla and it published from Society for Innovation & Sustainable Development (SISD).
