Mr. S R Subramanya, Professor, School of Engineering and Computing, National University, San Diego, USA conducting workshop on ‘Enhancing Student Interaction and Engagement in Computer Science Courses’ organized by Department of CSE of Daffodil International University.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop on ‘Enhancing Student Interaction and Engagement in Computer Science Courses’ today on 13 February 2019 at Banquet Hall of the university. Mr. S R Subramanya, Professor, School of Engineering and Computing, National University, San Diego, USA conducted the daylong workshop. Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), DIU was present at the inaugural session of the workshop as the chief guest.
Faculty members of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) Department and Software Engineering Department attend the first session and Students of those two departments attended the second session of the workshop.
While addressing as the chief guest Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain said that Professor Subramanya is a very famous computer scientist around the world. So it’s very pride thing to learn something from him directly. He expressed his hope that DIU students will learn many things from this workshop which will help them to increase their knowledge of latest technological trend of the global world. He thanked Professor S R Subramanya for receiving the invitation of CSE Department of Daffodil International University and conducting this valuable workshop.

Professor S R Subramanya said that Bangladeshi students are very much talented. They are doing well in various sectors of information technology and science. If they are motivated and properly guided into science and programming they can change the country and as well sometimes they can change the world.
Professor S R Subramanya also said that teachers should play a vital role to engage students into programming. We have to enhance the correlation between teachers and students,  he added.
