The Final Pitching Session of “Startup Idea for Fund” Season-01 was held on 21stJanuary, 2019 at Auditorium-71 of Daffodil International University where 14 groups of Entrepreneurs presented their final pitching in front of judges, investors and prospective entrepreneurs. More than one hundred innovative ideas were submitted out of which only fifty six (56) ideas were shortlisted.

Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present in the program as Chief Guest and Judge where Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Head, Department of General Educational Development, Mr. Golam Monowar Kamal, Managing Director, Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited, Mohammad Shibli Shahriar, Head, Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center were also present as Special Guests and Judges.

Daffodil International University (DIU) always encourages students to become an entrepreneur. Before completing the graduation, the students are taught and mentored not to be a job seeker but to create employment for others. With this motto to develop entrepreneurial ecosystem, DIU organized the startup idea competition named “Startup Idea for Fund” to support innovative ideas and create an entrepreneurial platform where students are provided with fund, incubation, office space, business networking, mentoring, and legal support, etc. All these initiatives will create an entrepreneurial environment for students to develop their entrepreneurial leadership skills in line with moving towards the vision of Digital Bangladesh
The competition was organized by the Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University. The program was coordinated by Mr. Reyed Mia, in association with Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited coordinated by Ms. Maliha Islam.
