The orientation program for the newly enrolled students of Fall Semester 2018 of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on October 27, 2018 at permanent campus of DIU, Ashulia, Dhaka. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University was present in the orientation program as the chief guest. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, the function was addressed by Professor Dr. S M MahbubUl Islam Majumdar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mr. HamidulHaque Khan, Treasurer, Professor Dr. Engr. A K M FazlulHoque, Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO of Daffodil Family, Mr. Md. BazlulKabir, Tax Commissioner, Dr. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE), Professor Dr. A. K. M. FazlulHaque, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering (FE), Professor Dr. Ahmad Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science, Professor A. M.M. Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Science, Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Permanent Campus, Professor Dr. Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examinations of the university. The orientation program was conducted by Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Rahman, Director, Students Affairs, DIU.
The program was started through national anthem in the morning. The daylong program included rally, discussion, club carnival, alimony discussion, sports, fun events, raffle draw and cultural program.
While addressing as the chief guest Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said that Daffodil International University has become a top ranked university in Bangladesh with the contribution of students, teachers, officials and parents. Recently Daffodil International University recognized as the QS ranked university in Banghladesh. In future, Daffodil International University dreams be the world’s one of the best universities and implementing the cherished dream, Daffodil University is strictly maintaining its’ standard and quality of education and developing required infrastructure. he added.
Dr. Sabur Khan also said that 13 hundred graduates of Daffodil International University already have become entrepreneurs. They already created 4 thousand plus employment opportunity for DIU Graduates. DIU is going to introduce PhD program in collaboration with a university of Malaysia and India. DIU is building an IT park behind this permanent campus where students can join over the globe.
Dr. Sabur Khan said that the target of Daffodil International University is to build its every single graduate at an specialist in IT and Entrepreneurship field and for achieving this goal DIU is working hard from the very beginning.
