Globally most popular solo lecture program TED Talk was held under the title ‘TEDxdaffodilU’ in the 71 Auditorium of Daffodil International University today on 13 October, 2018. Organized by Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University, the program was addressed by ten renowned personalities of the country with the theme of ‘The Next: Life and Beyond’.

Beside this Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. S M MahbubUl Haque Majumver, Pro Vice Chancellor, DIU were also present at the program. The program was conducted by Mr. Md. Ejaj-Ur-Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration and Mr. Shohag Mia, Coordinator of employability 360 degree course.

While addressing on the program Mr. Hossain Khaled said that we need to make linkage between industry and academy. Because our university produces only graduate but didn’t make the students as per the demand of industry. He also showed the data and said, 70% companies of the country have to arrange training for their newly recruited employees. If the university equipped them with proper education as per industry requirement for future career, then the companies need not to spend huge time and money to arrange such training, he added.
Mr. Hossain Khaled presented his speech on the title ‘Interlinking Family, Industry and Academia’ and also emphasis on the family education. He said, family is the largest education institute for a man, so family bondage is very essential.
It’s notated that TED is an international organization which organizes TEDx program more than 100 country of the world. Daffodil International University (DIU) arranged this event with the named ‘TEDxDaffodilU’ under the license of TEDx.
