Prof. Dr. Md. Bellal Hossain, Head, Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering of Daffodil International University has been elected as the Vice President of Bangladesh Society of Food Engineers and Technologists (BSFET). The election was held on September 28, 2018 at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh. In the election 12 members executive committee and 17 members Advisory Panel were elected where Dr. M Burhan Uddin of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh and Dr. Sorwar Hossain of BSCIC, Dhaka were elected as the President and Secretary for the next 5 years.
