Mr. Nahim Razzaq, MP, Convener of Young Bangla and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports unveils the book on ‘Autism’ written by Mr. Arifur Rahman Ripon, Chairman, Nutrition and Autism Research Center at the seminar on ‘Autism : Understand, Be Aware’ organized by  Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University

 

Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University based on the slogan “Being a human, contribute to Humanity” organized a seminar on ‘Autism : Understand, Be Aware’ at Daffodil International University on 7 October, 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of the university. Mr. Nahim Razzaq, MP, Convener of Young Bangla and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Youth and Sports was present at the seminar as the chief guest while Professor Dr. S M Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumdar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest. Presided over by Rtr. Hasan Shahriar Shaown, President of Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University, a keynote paper was presented by Mr. Arifur Rahman Ripon, Chairman, Nutrition and Autism Research Center. The seminar was also addressed by Mr. Dara Abdus Sattar, Convener of Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University. The whole program was conducted by Rtr. Humaun Kabir Polash, Chartered President of Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University.
Addressing as chief guest Mr. Nahim Razzaq MP, said that autism should not be looked into different view. It’s not like something unusual. Some very famous people of the world were autistic. For example he told some name like scientist Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, Mozart, Isaac Newton and so other.This people were became famous because of their society, government and family. All this institute were stayed behind them. So, if we stand behind our autistic child, they will become famous one day, obviously. he added.

Mr. Nahim Razzaq also said that awareness of autism is gradually increasing in Bangladesh. For the past nine years, government has taken lots of initiatives for autism. In this regard he remarked the outstanding contribution of Daughter of Prime Minister Ms. Saima Wazed Putul who has played a vital role to create awareness on autism in Bangladesh.
While addressing as special guest Professor Dr. S M Mahbub-Ul-Haque Majumdar said that 10 percent people of the total population of the world is affected with autism. This special kinds of people are found everywhere around the world. So, it’s not a matter of wisdom to see them in a vindictive point of view. If the autistics children are grown up with proper care, they can live a normal life. He argued all to come forward and stand behind the autistic people and be aware.
At the end of the seminar, Best Rotaractor Award was given to four member of Rotaract Club of Daffodil International University. Beside this autistic child were present dance, song and drama in the program.
