Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a get together program of the DIU Alumni who are working in different Electronic and Print Media titled ‘Daffodilian in Media’ on 23rd September, 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of the university. Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, former chief information commissioner was present in the program as chief guest. Presided over by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, the program was also addressed by Professor A M M Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Social Science, Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Sheikh Shafiul Islam, Acting Head of the Department, Anis Alamgir, Adjuct Faculty, Dr. Toufiq Elahi, Assistant Professor, Aftab Ahmed and Enayetur Rahman, Lecturer of Journalism & Mass Communication.
While addressing as chief guestProfessor Dr. Golam Rahman said that relation with the university doesn’t ends just completing academic part rather involving with Alumni association is a better way to keep in touch with university.  Through this type of program, it is possible to build interaction and create strong network among senior and junior students of the department. He stressed on strong  inter personal communication and network to become successful in career as we are living in the era of information and communication network.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan in his presidential address stressed on to make collaborative and industry academia linkage with the world renowned media personality and urged to invite them in the department and create opportunity for the students to acquire the technological advancement and know the trend of the age to keep peace with the latest development and innovation in the world media. In this regard, he point out the example of the Simon Dring who worked for ETV and produced large number of dynamic journalists who are leading the country’s media channels.  He stressed on the international focusing of the Bangladeshi journalists and need for creating opportunity in international media arena.  
Around 300 former students who are working in different electronic and print media  joined the program and enjoyed the get together program.
