As part of representing Daffodil International University, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam and Director of IQAC Professor Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque of Daffodil International University along with other distinguished participants of Dhaka Region along with Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary, Head of Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) of UGC and other guests. 

 

Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh organized a daylong workshop on National Qualification Framework, Dhaka Region, held at UGC auditorium. UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan graced the workshop as the Chief Guest whereas Member of UGC Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain was present as the Special Guest. The workshop was presided over by the Head of Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) of UGC Professor Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Adhikary. Acting Project Director (Joint Secretary), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), Mr. Ajit  Kumar Debnath, delivered the address of welcome at the event. International Quality Assurance (QA) Expert and Professor of Nottingham University Malaysia Campus, Ms.Rozilini Fernandez Chung facilitated the workshop.

Vice-Chancellors and Directors of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of different public and private universities in Dhaka region were present on the occasion. As part of representing Daffodil International University, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam and Director of IQAC Professor Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque have attended the workshop.

UGC Chairman stressed on the necessity of National Qualification Framework, for ensuring quality education at tertiary level, to compete with others in national and international arena in today’s competitive world. Addressing education as service not business, he urged Higher Education Institute (HEI), to provide quality education,so that the students become competent forthe global employment market. Moreover, he addressed all stakeholders of Higher Education, to work together for building Bangladesh as prosperous and a developed country.
