Professor Enamul Haque Khan, Commissioner, Dhaka District Rover Scout and by Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, President, DIU Air Rover Scout Group and Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University at the ‘9th Oath Taking Camp 2018’ of Daffodil International University held at permanent campus of the university at Ashulia, Savar.
5day long ‘9th Oath Taking Camp 2018’ for newly enrolled Rovers of Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group began on September 13, 2018 at permanent campus of the university at Ashulia, Savar. The camp will be held form September 13-17, 2018. The camp included Training, Oath Taking Ceremony, Social Awareness and Development Program and Grand Camp Fire. Professor Enamul Haque Khan, Commissioner, Dhaka District Rover Scout was present in the Oath Taking Ceremony as the chief guest. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, President, DIU Air Rover Scout Group and Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, the Oath Taking Ceremony was also addressed by Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Treasurer, DIU Air Rover Scout Group & Sr. Assistant Director (Public Relations), Daffodil International University, Girls in Rover Unit Leader Rover Trainer Ms. Farhana Rahman Setu, PRS and RSL Shaiful Islam Khan, DIU Air Rover Scout Group, Dhaka District Rover Scout leader M Z Rahman, Md. Rakib Mjumder, Lecturer, Daffodil International College. A total of 60 Rovers and Girls in Rover including12 Rovers from Daffodil International College Air Rover Scout Unit and 4 Rover Scout Leaders are participating in this Camp. Senior Rover Mate Jui Roy and Nazmul Hassan provided overall assistant to organize the camp.
Addressing as the chief guest Professor Enamul Haque Khan said, Oath Camp is very important and historical event for a Scout which inspire rovers to engage them in scouting through self adaption of mind. He advised the rovers to maintain and follow the rules and ideas of Baden Powell to create a beautiful world. He appreciated the recent activities done by the Rovers of Daffodil International University and suggested to keep up the speed. He also said, introducing Rover Movement at the university, Daffodil International University has set an example to be followed by other private universities.
