Winners of the Art Competition with country's renowned Artist Mostofa Monwar

Daffodil International University celebrated 3days long “5th International Children’s Film Festival-2012, Bangladesh” on last 22-24 January 2012. English Literary Club (ELC) jointly arranged this festival with Children Film Society in Daffodil International University auditorium. Total 21 venues from whole Bangladesh like- Public library, Alliance Française, British Council and many venues screened more then 200 films from 21-27 January. Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University inaugurated this Daffodil International University venue festival on 22nd January at 10:30 am. Prof Dr. Aminul Islam, Emeritus professor, DIU was also present in the ceremony. At the very beginning of the festival opening, 2 short films of Syed Raihan-Ul-Islam “POINT OF VIEW” & “TASTE OF SMOKE” were screened. Many audiences from different age group joined in this festival venue. Many children from Daffodil International School, Nalonda Biddalaya, New Model School, and Oyster International School attended in the festival to watch Films. This 3days long Festival ended with gorgeous cultural events.

Participants of the Art Competition with English Literary Club (ELC) of Daffodil International University

On this occasion of 5th International Film Festival, English Literary Club (ELC) Daffodil International University, arranged an Art Competition for Children on 23rd January2012. In this competition more than 55 children from Different schools like- Daffodil International School, Nalonda Biddalaya, Oyster International School participated enthusiastically. Well renowned artist Mustafa Monwar was the chief guest and Judge of this Art competition for children.1st and 2nd prize were won by the students named Mumtahena & Abdul Muneem from Daffodil International School. Asad, Student of Oyster International School won the 3rd Prize. After the competition, Mustafa Monwar made an open discussion with children about drawing and its grammar. The program was ended with presenting a Crest to the famous artist Mustafa Monwar by ELC Coordinator Umme Kulsum.
