Seminar on ‘Career Planning & Placement Opportunities’ organized by Career Development Center of Daffodil International University was held today on 14 July 2018 at Banquet Hall of the University. Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU was present at the seminar as Chief Guest while Dr. Sumon Bhattacharya, Director of Career Advisory & Argumentation School (CAAS), Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), India and Dr. Priyadarshi Biswal, Associate Dean of CAAS, KIIT University, India were present as Keynote Speakers. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University. More than hundreds of students from different disciplines were attended the seminar.

While delivering keynote speech Dr. Sumon Bhattacharya said, the industries are changing dynamically in all over the world but our education system is not changing according to that. So there is a gap between industry and academy we found. This gap creates unemployment. To remove this gap it’s very necessary to build linkage among industry and academy.
Dr. Sumon Bhattacharya said to the students that all sector of job like Bank, Bima, industry, factory etc are becoming digital. Digital revolution is happening all over the world. So it’s would not be easy to get job without having competency on technology. Dr. Sumon Bhattacharya asks to the student to gather technological knowledge from student life.
Another keynote speaker Dr. Priyadarshi Biswal said to the students that you have to skilled on five thing things before entrance into career life. Those five things are: communication skill, technological skill, update with knowledge and information, gather knowledge in own subject and keep confidence on you.
Addressing as chief guest Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam said to the students that firstly you have to know about the demand of employers. Employers are want problem solving power from you. They also want managerial power into you. This kind of competency cannot get by CGPA only. It’s a matter of continuous practices. You should practice this skill from your student life. He added. In the mean time he gave thank to two keynote speakers for delivering their valuable speech in front of DIU students.
