The Annual General Meeting and Election of 2018-2019 of DIU Alumni Association – an organization of Ex- Students of Daffodil International University was held on June 01, 2018 at Banquet Hall of the university. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present in the program as the chief guest. Presided over by Mr. Manjurul Alam Jewel, President, DIU Alumni Association and Head of HRD, Eastern Bank Ltd., the function was also addressed by Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Golam Maowla Chowdhury, Controller of Examinations & Proctor, Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Founder President, DIU Alumni Association & Director (Finance and Accounts), Mr. Masum Iqbal, Associate Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Business Administration and Mr. Mahbub Parvez, Head, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Daffodil International University.

In the program 31 member new executive committee of DIU Alumni Association for the year 2018-2019 was elected where Mr. Ziaul Haque Sumon, Zonal Manager, Banglalink Digital Communications Ltd. was elected as President of DIU Alumni Association and Mr. Muhammad Tariqul Islam, Junior Assistant Vice President, Premier Bank Ltd. elected as General Secretary of the association.. The other members of the committee are: Vice President- Mr. Ishaque Mijee, Mr. Rasel Prodhania, Mr. Mahmudul Hassan, Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Bulbul, Mahmudul Hasan Joint Secretary- Mr. A.M.M Afsarur Rahman Bhuiyan, Mr. Moheuddin Ahmed, Mr. Nurunnabi Chowdhury, Treasurer- Mr. Mohammad Rezaul Karim and Organizing Secretary- Mr. Amlan Kishore Moon.

Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Md. Sabur Khan said, Daffodil International University Alumni Association is working to bring all the graduates under one community. We believe that this network of graduates will act as a strong platform to share upholding the noble objective to foster the professional and intellectual growth of DIU graduates. He also said, this Association will establish Unity, Compassion and Brotherhood among the graduates in a ground full of assistance and cooperation.
While addressing among the members, newly elected President of the Alumni Ziaul Haque Sumon said, DIU Alumni is working for making a garden where all the daffodils will outdo the odds and maladies of the society in glee. He said, approximately 20000 Graduates from Daffodil International University are working in their professional life and many of them holding important positions in a diverse category of organizations; many are pursuing their career abroad. These alumni will work together for our betterment and for the betterment of the nation.
Forming in 2009, DIU Alumni Association is dedicated to help the students of DIU and the worthy members in this association with special projects and activities. All the alumni, being under one umbrella, are working with DIU to assist the university in getting the apex of quality higher learning and also for making a Quality Cycle- where an entry could make a man polished, a real touchstone.
