Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) at Daffodil International University organized a daylong workshop on ‘Outcome Based Teaching Learning Curriculum Development’ on 29 May 2018 at the conference room of the department. Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Former Chief Information Commissioner of Bangladesh was present at the workshop as per keynote speaker. Professor Dr. Sakhawat Ali Khan, Advisor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University, Mr. Shafiqul Islam Shamim, Senior Reporter, ATN Bangla, Ms. Nasreen Huda Bithi, Representative of Voice of America, Ms.Syda Sadia Shahrin, Contributor of the Daily Prothom Alo and many other senior faculty member, students and alumni also spoke on the workshop.

Addressing as keynote speaker Professor Dr. M Golam Rahman said, now a days, there is no option of thinking Print, Electronic and Online media individually. A skilled professional journalist must have to be skilled in complete reporting like collecting news, taking photograph or video, editing and compiling all together etc. Recently we sent satellite on outer space. The whole world is going ahead by the grace of information technology. So, For adapting with this changing world, we must have to be well equipped with adequate technical knowledge and information technology.
While speaking at the workshop, other speakers emphasized on practical knowledge and experiences besides theoretical text content and also stressed on to include adequate digital content and application of practical knowledge. The speakers urged the students to give concentration to have more and more field level experience. In this regard, they also stressed on the need for coming forward of the Media Houses of the country to provide opportunity of getting practical experiences providing internship.
