A seminar on ‘Duties in Ramadan’ held on 28 May 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Dr. Mohammad Monzur-E-Elahi, Associate Professor of Department of Islamic Studies of National University was present at the seminar as Keynote Speaker. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. S M Mahbubul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University and many other faculty members and students from different departments were present at the seminar.
Addressing as keynote speaker Dr. Mohammad Manzur-E-Elahi said, Ramadan doesn’t mean not only fasting from dawn to dusk, but also to stay away from all kinds of evil deeds and unfair attitudes. If one cannot response these internal argues of Ramadan perfectly, his fasting (siam) will not give him any result. So, we all should have to be careful about the lessons and duties of Ramadan, he added.
Dr. Mohammad Manzur-E-Elahi also said that ‘Mahe Ramadan’ gives us a great opportunity to change the society and build up ourselves as a perfect human being. We should utilize this opportunity. If one cannot utilize this opportunity, he is really an unlucky person, he added. Dr. Mohammad Manzur-E-Elahi also said, our organizations don’t take initiative to use the opportunity of Ramadan for changing society. If all public and private organizations take initiative to spread the lessons and duties of Ramadan properly then our society would be freed from all sorts of misdeeds and terrorism. He gave thank to Daffodil International University for arranging this kind of seminar.
After the addressed Dr. Manzur-E-Elahi gave answer of the questions of students.
