The closing and award giving ceremony of the 21st International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles-2018 (ICSQCC-2018) was held on May 05, 2018 at Ashulia permanent campus of Daffodil International University. Mr. Asaduzzaman Khan, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs was present in the closing and certificate awarding ceremony as the chief guest of the convention while Profesor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present in the award giving ceremony as the Guest of Honour. The closing ceremony was also addressed among others by Mr. David Collingwood Hutchin, Director General of World Council for Total Quality & Excellence in Education (WCTQEE), Dr. Jagadish Gandhi, Chairman, WCTQEE, Dr. Mrs. Vineeta Kamran, Executive Director, WCTQEE, Mr. A M M Khairul Bashar, Chairman, Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM), Professor Dr. M R Kabir, Convener of ICSQCC-2018 Syed Masud Hasan, Managing Director, Center for Management Development.

Based on the theme of “Quality Education for Global Peace and Sustainable Development” ended today Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) in association with Daffodil International University (DIU) organized the convention from May 03-06, 2018 in Bangladesh. Around 1000 participants including 500 foreign students and delegates from USA, UK, India, Srilanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Mauritius and other countries are participating in the convention.
Around 60 student’s quality control circle case study and 13 technical papers relevant to quality education were presented in the convention. Beside these, 43 team in poster and slogan, 39 team in colas, 29 team in scit,33 team in debate, 28 team in quality quiz and 16
team participated in computer programming contest. Moreover, 28 team took part in world parliamentary format debate during the 4 day long convention..
The main objective of the convention is to create awareness about Total Quality Management in Academics and abreast the delegates about the latest development in quality improvement in academics as well as exchange information about implementation of TQM in educational institutions.
