Mr. Muhammad Zamir, Former Ambassador and Chief Information Commissioner, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh addressing as the chief guest at the “SAARC Charter Day-2017 “program organized by Department of Business Administration.
Department of Business Administration of Daffodil International University observed SAARC Charter Day-2017 today on 13 December 2017. To mark the day Department of Business Administration organized a discussant session at 71 Milonayoton of the uni9versity. Mr. Muhammad Zamir, Former Ambassador and Chief Information Commissioner, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh was present at the program as Chief Guest. Presided over by Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics; Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs & IQAC, Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Dean of HRDI, Mr. Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Head, Department of Business Administration and many others faculty members and students were present at the program.

Addressing as chief guest Mr. Muhammad Zamir said, SAARC was established to aim of agricultural development, rural development, transport expansion, health development and population transform in human resource in south Asian countries. But it’s a matter of regret that SAARC didn’t fulfill those five agenda still now. Lack of trust and bona fides of SAARC countries is the main cause of failure of SAARC. Added Mr. Muhammad Zamir.
Mr. Muhammad Zamir also said that success of SAARC is depends on to implementation of SAFTA and Visa free transportation among SAARC countries.
Professor Rafiqul Islam said to his presidential speech that a very long period already has gone after establishing of SAARC. But there is no visible success that we may express. So SAARC is transforming as an unconstructive institution. Need to overcome this situation. He also said, it was needed to establish an economic union like as European Union under the management of SAARC.
Chief Guest Mr. Muhammad Zamir was distributed prizes among the winner of quiz competition, Logo design competition, Poster presentation competition on the program.
