ETE Alumni Homecoming and Reunion Program 2017 held today on December 08, 2017 at Ashulia Permanent campus of Daffodil International University (DIU). Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering organized the program. Professor Dr. M Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examinations, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest at the program. Presided over by Professor Dr. A K M Fazlul Haque, the function was also addressed by Professor Md. Khairul Enam, Acting Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Chief T echnical Officer, Olio Wareless Internet, Mr. Mustafa Hossain, Chief Operating Officer, Voice Tel Ltd. Mr. MD. Shamim Ahmed, President, DIU ETE Alumni Association andMs. Tasnuva Ali. Convener of DIU ETE Alumni Homecoming and Reunion 2017. The program was conducted by Ms. Sirajum Munira, Lecturer, Department of ETE.

7 successful Alumni of ETE Department of DIU were honored for their outstanding contribution in the country and society and handed over memento of “ETE Alumni Excellence Award-2017. The award recipients are Mohua Afroz, who stood 7th position ( Admin Cadre) in 34th BCS, Mr. Harunur Rashid, Assistant Vice President, Eastern Bank Ltd. Md. Shamim Ahmed, Manager, R&T, Bangla Tel, Atunu Debnath, Manager, Ollo International Internet, Major Al Maimun, Kuwait (Defence), Md. Abu Saleh,Venus Telecommunication, and successful Entrepreneur Md. Dabirul Islam Dipu. In the program aletter of respect in memory of Late Hasan Imam Rajib was read out by Nur Md. Sarkar. A cheque of Tk. 20,000/= was handed over to mother of late Hasan Imam Rajib – a former student of the department.

Addressing as the chief guest Professor Dr. M Golam Maowla Choudhury said, this reunion will create a bridge among our ETE alumni, current students as well as the faculty members. This massive gathering provides the perfect forum for faculty, alumni and current students to interact and possibly discuss future collaborations, he added.

The program began with one minute silence in rememberance of Founder Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Aminul Islam and former student of the department Hasan Imam Rajib. The day long program included Bus Rally ,discussion, Picnic, Games & Sports, Fun Events & Raffle Draw and gala cultural event.
