Aim to celebration of victory month, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Mukto Ashor jointly accorded reception to country’s renowned singer of ‘Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Ms. Shahin Samad and Mr. Tapan Mahamud to day on December 4, 2017 at a program ‘Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Theke Bolchhi’ held at 71 Milonayoton of DIU. Mr. AKM Mozammel Haque, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs was present as the chief guest at the program and handed over reception memento to Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra singer Shahin Samad and Tapan Mahmud wore them wraper. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU, the function was also addressed by Mr. Hamidul Haqu Khan, Treasurer and Mr. Abu Sayed, President, Mukto Asor. Later on members of DIU Cultural Club staged a colourful cultural program.

Addressing as chief guest Liberation War Affairs A K M Mozammel Haque said, Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra contributed 50% at the liberation war of Bangladesh and rest 50% was contributed by the freedom fighters in the field level with arms. If the singers of swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra didn’t inspire the freedom fighters with their voice, the victory wouldn’t be so easy.
Mr. AKM Mozammel Haque also said that Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has recognized the contribution of the singers (sound soldiers) of Shawdhin Bangla Betar Kendra and gave honor to them as the freedom fighter. He urged the young generation to know the real history of war Liberation war and contribute to build the nation from their respective positions.
