Professor Dr. S M Mahabubul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, DIU along with other Distinguished guests at the inaugural ceremony of the 2 day long 1st International Education & Cultural Carnival Bangladesh 2017 based on global tourism and hospitality management began today ( November 29) at Daffodil International University(DIU).

 

To promote Tourism & Hospitality Management in Bangladesh and make it practiced in mass level and the best way to do it in schools, colleges and universities a 2 day long 1st International Education & Cultural Carnival Bangladesh 2017 based on global tourism and hospitality management begins today ( November 29) at Daffodil International University(DIU). Based on the theme on “Let the stage of the Tourism Day and the Tourism year reflect the victory song of Tourism and Hospitality”, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU and Federation of Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management jointly(FOHTEM) jointly organized the carnival.

Professor Dr. S M Mahabubul Hoque Majumder, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University inaugurated the the carnival as the chief guest. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Mr. Zahangir Alam, Head of Hospitality,The Aks Khan Center of Excellence (ACE), Professor Md. Moqbul Hossain, Head, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of World University , Professor Hosne Ara Alam, Chairman, Department of Home Economics of Habibullah Bahar College, , Mr. Daniel Chandan Gomes, Corporate Executive Chef, The Aks Khan Center of Excellence (ACE) were present as the guest of Honor. Presided over by Professor Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Chairman, FOHTEM, the function was also addressed by Mr. Mahabub Parvez, Head Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU and Mr. M A Nahiyan, Chief Organizer.

2 day long carnival includes; Workshop & Career Planning Seminar on THM, Live Cooking Show &Cooking Contest and Talk Show, Project Display, Management Machete & Business Solution, Multimedia Presentations, Cultural Events, Live Cooking Show &Cooking Contest and Talk Show. 500 students of 20 universities, colleges and schools and institutions attend the 2 day long carnival.
