Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Daffodil International University (DIU) brought out a rally to mark the “World Tourism Day 2017” on September 27, 2017
Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Daffodil International University (DIU) observed “World Tourism Day 2017” on September 27, 2017 aiming to raise awareness among the people about the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
The theme of this year’s day was ‘Tourism and Community Development’.
The theme focused on the ability of tourism to empower people and provide them with skills to achieve change in their local communities.
Marking the day, Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU and different tour operators and other organizations chalked out various programs, including colorful rally and discussion meetings.
At the end of the rally Students of Tourism and Hospitality Management Department of Daffodil International University (DIU)Rashed Khan Menon , Minister, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism along with faculty members and Head of the Department Mr. Mahbub Parvez.
