Daffodil International University participated at the International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL2017) organized by UniversitiSains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in collaboration with the Malaysian e-Learning Council for Public Universities (MEIPTA) and Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia held during 26-27 September 2017. Daffodil International University is the international partner in organizing the carnival. A 6-member team led by Professor Dr. Yusuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International Universityattended the carnival. Prof. Yusufdelivered a keynote presentation on "Humanizing technology” in IUCEL as an expert panelist.
Five (5) posters submitted from DIU were placed in the competition out of the 188 entries at the carnival. Out of five, three got selection for bronze category award and two for silver award. Surprisingly, all DIU posters won awards at the IUCEL 2017.

The poster on “Participatory Engaging Teaching” and “Certification in Employability Skills” won silver medal, while the posters on “Improving English Trough Wiki Quiz”, “Participatory Engaging Problem Solving Intervention” and “Enhancing Student Engagement Through Ed-Tech” won bronze medal.
The Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia Dato' Seri Haji Idris bin Jusoh visited DIU stall after inauguration of IUCEL. During his visit Professor Dr. Yusuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU handed over a complimentary souvenir of DIU along with DIU Chairman's book titled " A Journey Towards Entrepreneurship" and HRDI book to him.
The objective of IUCEL is to serve as a plat form to promote explore, and share best practices and global expertise in e-Learning applications at higher learning institutions all around the world.
There were many activities in the Carnival such as, exhibition on e-learning technology, best practices and product updates, including software, courseware, e-Learning management system (LMS) and systems. Exhibition from industries also took place at the carnival.
