Professor Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a renowned social entrepreneur and Founder Chancellor of KIIT University (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) and Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS), Odisha, India speaking on "Social Entrepreneurship " at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University

Professor Dr. Achyuta Samanta, a renowned social entrepreneur and Founder Chancellor of KIIT University (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) and Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS), Odisha, India delivered keynote speech at a seminar on “Social Entrepreneurship” at Daffodil International University (DIU) today on 27th July, 2017 as the chief guest. His Excellency Mr. J P Mukharjee, 1st Secretary of Indian High Commission in Dhaka was present as the special guest. The day started at 11.00 am at Auditorium-71 of DIU. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University presided over the seminar. The seminar was also addressed among others by Professor S M Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor and Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Center of Daffodil International University.
Addressing as the chief guest Professor Dr. Achyuta Samanta said that this is the age of entrepreneurship. The trend of being a entrepreneur is gradually increasing among the young people in globally. But, the way of being a entrepreneur is not so easy. To be an entrepreneur you must have to work hard work and must have a dream.
He also said that if we want to alleviate poverty from the society then we have to prepare our young generation with skilled and competent. For poverty alleviation of the country besides government initiatives, non-government and private institutions shouls come forward.
As special guest Mr. J P Mukharjee said, anyone can be an entrepreneur if he/she lives with hard working mentality and contain dream in heart. We can learn this lesson from Dr. Achyuta Samanta’s life sketch.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan at his presidential address said that alternate name of problem is opportunity. Dr. Achyuta Samanta has faced many problems from his early childhood but he could transform his problem into opportunities. That is why now he is a successful person.

Later on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS) and Daffodil Institute of Social Science (DISS) regarding mutual cooperation of formal education with vocation training and providing sustainable livelihood and scope for all round development for under privileged and destitute children.
Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, DIU, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Major General (Retd) Jiban Kanai Das, Alhaz Sufi Mizanur Rahman, Chairman, PHP Group, Professor Dr. Farid A Sobhani, Dean, HRDI, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director of Students' Affairs were also present at the seminar.
Professor Dr. Achyuta Samanta was mentioned among the Top 15 Social Entrepreneurs of the World by the American Edge Foundation. Samanta appears in The Limca Book of Records as the youngest chancellor of any University in India.
He established himself as a social entrepreneur and the founder, ex chancellor, and secretary of KiiT University; and the founder of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), KIIT International School, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), KIIT School of Management (KSOM), KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), KIIT School of Computer Application (KSCA).
He is a member of University Grants Commission (UGC), Executive Committee Member of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Academic Council Member of Central University of Orissa, and Serving Member of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
He was also a serving member of international bodies including the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), United States of America; Institute of International Education (IIE), New York City; Association of University of Asia Pacific (AUAP) and so on.
He is holding about 50+ Awards and records from different countries in different fields for his Excellency and impact around the world.
