Students of English Department of Daffodil International University holds copies The Daily Star at the inauguratin ceremony of “Newspaper Reading Project”
“Newspaper Reading Project” for the students of English Department of Daffodil International University was inaugurated on May 30, 2017 at Auditorium-71 of Daffodil International University. Under the project, DIU students will read the newspaper as part of their English learning course. Mr. Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star inaugurated the program as the chief guest organized by the Department of English of Daffodil International University.
Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University presided over the program. The program was addressed by Professor A. M.M. Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Science, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director of Students' Affairs, Dr. Md. Mohoshin Reza, Head, Department of English, Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman Moral, Senior Lecturer and convener of the newspaper reading project Mr. Rakibuk Hasan Khan and Dr. Binoy Barman, Associate Professor and Director, Daffodil Institute of Language.
Newspaper Reading Project is an initiative for English language skill development of students that will be jointly conducted by DIU and The Daily Star.
