3-day ‘6th Oath Taking Camp 2017’ for newly enrolled rovers of Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group held from May 24-26, 2017 at permanent campus of the university at Ashulia, Savar. Zamil Ahmed, National Deputy Commissioner (Training) was present as the chief guest while Md. Arifuzzaman, National Deputy Commissioner, Flt. Lt. Md. Sha Alam, General Secretary, Air Region of Bangladesh Scout, Mahfuza Khanam, Regional Deputy Director of Bangladesh Scout and Dr. Neil P Balba, Visiting Professor of Daffodil International University were present as the special guests. Presided over by Mr. Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Treasurer, DIU Air Rover Scout Group & Sr. Assistant Director (Public Relations), Daffodil International University, the inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Rover Scout Leader Ms. Farhana Rahman Setu, PRS, Shaiful Islam Khan, RSL, DIU Air Rover Scout Group and S M Salauddin Morsalin, program chief of the camp.

Earlier Professor Enamul Haque Khan, Commissioner, Dhaka District Rover Scout & Vice Principal, Government Titutmir College inaugurated the camp as the chief guest on May 24, 2017.
The camp included Training, Oath Taking Ceremony, Social Awareness and Development Program, Grand Camp Fire, Reunion and certificate distribution..
A total 40 of Rovers including 3 Rover Scout Leaders participated in this Camp. It may be mentioned that this is for the first time in the history of Private Universities of Bangladesh to introduce Rover Movement at Daffodil International University.
The Oath Taking Ceremony was conducted by Nusrat Jahan, Rover Mate, DIU Air Rover Unit.

Addressing as the chief guest Zamil Ahmed said, Oath taking camp is very important and historical event for a Scout which inspire rovers to engage them in scouting through self adaption of mind. He advised the rovers to maintain and follow the rules and ideas of Baden Powell to create a beautiful world. He appreciated the recent activities done by the Rovers of Daffodil International University and suggested to keep up the speed. He also said, introducing Rover Movement at the university, Daffodil International University has set an example to be followed by other private universities.
