Like other years, Daffodil International University chalked out elaborate program to celebrate Pahela Boishakh with great enthusiasm and gala events titled “Boishakh Parbone 1424” to hail the New Year 1424 with new hopes and aspirations for a better, peaceful year. Sponsored by Elite Paint& Chemical Industries Ltd. the day long events includes “Auspicious white paint on the street" (Alpona Utshob'), Mongal Shavajatra, flying paper- balloon, eating water rice with Hilsha and traditional cultural program like Puthi path, song, dance, poetry etc.

The gala events started with the grand opening of “Auspicious white paint on the street" (Alpona Utshob') from Asadgate to Rassel Square (1.2 km) on Mirpur Road. Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner of Bangladesh inaugurated program as the chief guest. The inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration), Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director of Students Affairs, Mohammad Morad Hossain, Senior General Manager (HR, Admin & Compliance), Md. Harun-Ur-Roshid, Senior General Manager (Seals and Marketing) and Md. Shafiqul Huq Shajal, Brand & Communication Manager of Elite Paint& Chemical Industries Ltd.
Students of Daffodil International University brought out Mongal Shavajatra from main campus at Dhanmondi
Around 300 students participated in gorgeous Alpona Utshob with a very festive mood on the road from Asadgate to Dhanmondi 32 No. Road. The whole night was celebrated with traditional cultural program like Puthi path, song, dance, poetry recitation performed by the students.
Students and teachers of Daffodil International University brought out Mongal Shavajatra from the campus premises at Dhanmondi carrying paper made stylized animals and traditional dolls which surrounded the main streets of the area hailing the first day of Bangla New Year, Pahela Boishakh.
