Students and Faculty Members of Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University brought out a Rally to spread out the awareness on WHO nominated global theme of the day “Depression: Let's Talk” on April 7, 2017 from Daffodil Tower on Mirpur Road and surrounded main streets of Dhanmondi areas.
Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University ( DIU) observed the World Health Day 2017 through elaborate program including Rally and Seminar. To mark the day Department of Public Health organized a rally as a starter of the observation to spread out the awareness on WHO nominated global theme of the day “Depression: Let's Talk” on April 7, 2017 from Daffodil Tower on Mirpur Road and surrounded main streets of Dhanmondi areas with different colorful Banner and Festoons. The Rally was attended Professor Dr. S M Keramot Ali,Prof. M S A Mansur Ahmed, Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Head, Dr. Salamat Khandker, Associate Professor , Department of Public Health, Dr. Jahidur Rashid Sumon, Managing Director of Center for Medical Ultra Sound and Doppler (CMUD) and more than 200 students including foreign students of the Department.

In observance of the day, Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University also organized a seminar entitled on the theme “Depression: Let's Talk” of “World Health Day – 2017” on 8th April 2017 at Auditorium71 of Daffodil International University. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kabir, President of Research, Training and Management (RTM) International & Ex-chairman of Rupali Bank Limited was the Chief Guest. Pro Vice-Chancellor of DIU, Professor Dr. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder presided over the seminar while Professor Dr. Shah Mohammad Keramat Ali was the keynote speaker.
The seminar was also addressed by Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Head and Dr. Salamat Khandker, Associate Professor of Department of Public Health of the university and Dr. Jahidur Rashid Sumon, Managing Director of Center for Medical Ultra Sound and Doppler (CMUD).
