Daffodil International University became Champion and Green University of Bangladesh becameRunners up in “DIU-ACME Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament 2017”. On March 06, 2017 in the final match Daffodil International University defeated Green University of Bangladeshby 67 run and won the title of “DIU Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament 2017”.

Green University of Bangladesh won the toss and invited Daffodil International University to bat first. Daffodil International University collected 189 run in stipulated 20 overs losing 5 wickets. On behalf of Daffodil International University Sajal scored 72 (not out) and Saikat scored 52. In reply Green University of Bangladesh scored 123 run in 17.2 over losing all the wickets. Akter of of Green University of Bangladesh scored 62. Sajal of Daffodil International University adjudged as ‘Man of the Final’ while Saikat of Daffodil International University adjudged as the 'Man of the Series'. The ACME Ltd. was the main sponsor while Tepantor Group was the Co-Sponsor of the Tournament.

Mr. Nazmul Abedin Fahim, National Manager (Game Development of BCB, Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean, Permanent Campus, Mr. Mahabubul Ameen, Head of Marketing, The ACME Ltd., Mr. H M Arshad Ullah Choudhury, Chairman, Tepantoor Group and Mohammad Shahidullah, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh were present as the Special guests in the prize giving ceremony. The function was also addressed by Dr. ABM Kamal Pasha, Adviser, DIU Sports club and Islam Uddin, Coordinator of the Tournament.
