In the Men’s final of 2nd Daffodil Premier League Cricket, English Department defeated Business Administration Department by 9 wickets. Batting first, Business Administration Department scored 141 losing 7 wickets. In reply English Department collected 147 runs at the cost of only one wicket. Shariar of English Department scored 66 not out and was adjudged as the Man of the Match while Shaikat of Business Administration Department adjudged as the Man of the Tournament.

In the 2nd Daffodil Premier League Cricket Women’s final, Department of Law of Daffodil International University became champion in the 2nd Daffodil Premier League Women’s Cricket Tournament 2017 beating Department of Business Administration in 9 wickets in the final match held today on 17 January 17, 2017 at DIU permanent campus cricket ground.

Business Administration Department won the toss and chooses to bat first. Business Administration collected 69 runs 8 wickets in stipulated 10 over’s. In reply Department of Law collected 70 losing only one wicket and got victory of 9 wickets. Labony of Department of Law adjudged as Man of the Match as she scored not out 30 runs.

Early in the morning, Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University inaugurated the final match.
Mr. Anil Chandra Pal, Director of Uttara Campus of Daffodil International University distributed prizes among the winners. Acting Academic Director Ms. Yanjina Hossain, Dr. A B M Kamal Pasha, Head, Department of Environmental Science and Disaster Management, Mr. Shafayat Mansur Rana, Ariful Islam and other high officials were present at the prize giving ceremony.
