Bangladesh Honored with Prestigious ‘Best Country Award’ at Global Entrepreneurship Congress 2025

Bangladesh has achieved a historic milestone by winning the Best Country Award at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) 2025, held in Indianapolis, USA. Contesting with 200 countries across the globe, Bangladesh stood out for its exceptional progress in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and ecosystem development. The award was formally received by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of GEN Bangladesh, and K M Hasan Ripon, Managing Director of GEN Bangladesh, during the GEC Award Ceremony on June 3, 2025. This recognition marks a significant moment for the country as it reflects the nation’s growing impact on the global entrepreneurial landscape.

Receiving this award signifies the remarkable contributions made by GEN Bangladesh, in collaboration with Daffodil International University, Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited, and other ecosystem enablers, in building a robust entrepreneurial environment in the country. Initiatives such as GEN Campus Dhaka, Smart Accelerator Programs, SheMeansDigital, and active participation in Entrepreneurship World Cup have positioned Bangladesh as a global example of inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship growth.
