A seminar on “Software Testing and its job prospects in Bangladesh and international Market” was held on October 18, 2011 at the auditorium jointly organized by Software Engineering Department of Daffodil International University and Bangladesh Software Testing Board (BSTB). International Software Testing Quality Board (ISTQB) Certified Testing Engineer Md. Akterul Alam Shuvro presented the Keynote Paper in the seminar.

Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present on seminar as the chief guest while Muhammad Nuruzzaman, General Secretary, Bangladesh Software Testing Board was present as the special guest. Presided over by Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Jobiullah, Head, Department of Software Engineering, the seminar was also addressed by Md. Alauddin Al Azad, Manager Operations, Jobsbd.com.

The speakers highlighted the importance and potentiality of the role of International Software Testing Quality Board (ISTQB) and Certified Software Testing Engineers in different sectors of out sourcing of Software Testing in Bangladesh and global market as outsourcing. It was informed in the seminar that at present 1, 80,000 Certified Software Testing Engineers are working all over the world where as in Bangladesh the number is only 13. On an average a Certified Software Testing Engineer earns US $ 45,000 annually. It was also informed that there is a huge demand of a Certified Software Testing Engineer in Bangladesh and international Market. Bangladesh Software Testing Board ( BSTB) will organize a Training program on Software Testing Engineering on November-20, 2011 in Bangladesh.Bangladesh.
