BSFA received more than 100 nominations from Bangladeshi experts in different area of food safety. Based on the needs and expertise, BSFA designed several electronic working group such as food additives, contaminants mycotoxins, packaging and labeling etc. Professor Dr. Md. Bellal Hossain elected as a member of the Electronic Working Group on Food Additives.
Bangladesh Food Safety Authority was established in 2 February, 2015 aiming to ensure the food safety, food production, food import, food processing, marketing sales etc.
