Former Secretary and President of Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Golam Rahman addressing at the inaugural ceremony of‘Consumer Complaint Center: Call Center’ and online portal Voktakantha held today at Daffodil International University.

Aiming to help the consumers of all walk ‘Consumer Complaint Center: Call Center’ has been started its’ journey initiated by Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB).  In association with Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection and Daffodil International University, the inaugural ceremony of this center was held today on 31 October, 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Mr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Laskar, Director General, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection was present at the program as chief guest. Presided over by Golam Rahman, President of CAB, the program was also addressed by Syed Abul Maksud, President of Editorial Board of, Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Hossen, Editor of, Architect Mubasshar Hussein, Publisher of, Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor & Treasurer of DIU, Professor Dr. M. Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, DIU, Advocate Humaun Kabir, Secretary General of CAB.  
From now, any consumer can find solution by a phone call to Consumer Complaint Center. After issuing complaint, call center will slove complain with the help of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection within 15 days. Except Friday, the call center will be open every day from 8 am to 8 pm. Consumer can call these two number: 01977008071, 01977008072.
Beside this an online portal was also inaugurated in this program.
Addressing as chief guest Md. Shafiqul Islam Laskar said that Director General, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection is a new organization. It was started on 2009. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is always very much conscious about the rights of consumer. That’s why she founded this Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection.Introduced Food Safety Act and Banned Formalin. He urged the consumers to come forward to take the services provided by the National Consumer Rights Protection.
After the inaugural program, all guests were visit the office of call canter and at 19/1, Panthapath, Concord Tower, Dhaka.
