DIU Permanent Campus

Daffodil International University (DIU) has achieved an unprecedented success in UI Greenmatric World University Rankings 2017. Daffodil International University ranked1st position among Bangladeshi university and 153 among the global context where University of Dhaka has placed 463 position. A total of 619 niversities based on green campus from 76 countries were bring under this ranking. Wageningen University & Research from Nethererlands ranked the top position in this ranking. The ranking was published today on 11 December 2017 at the official website of Universitas Indonesia (http://greenmetric.ui.ac.id/overall-ranking-2017/) .
According to the website, Universitas Indonesia is an Indonesia based organization. the ranking was prepared by based on six criteria and indicator such as Setting and Infrastructure of campus, Energy and Climate Change, Waste treatment and recycling activities, Water use in campus, Transportation system, Education in climate change etc. There are some sub criteria under these six main criteria. Daffodil International University has fulfilled all of these criteria and indicator that’s why it placed as top green campus among all Bangladeshi niversity campuses. In last year DIU had been ranked 453 position and only one year after it has been ranked 153 position competing with other 619 universities throughout the whole world.
The website of Universitas Indonesia also says that, UI greenmatric rankings 2017, there were 251 participants universities from Asia, 202 from Europe, 140 from America, 11 from Africa and 6 from Oceania have performed their activities based on environmental and sustainability development.
It may be mentioned that from 2010 Universitas Indonesia started the UI greenmatric rankings regarding to increasing of negative impact of climate change. Universitas Indonesia believe that to published top ranking of green campus may enhance awareness about climate change and committed to sustainable development of climate change among educated people.
