Maj Gen Md. Salahuddin Miaji ,rcds, psc, VC, Bangladesh University of Professionals handing over the Runner Up Trophy of Inter University National Debate Championship organized by Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) to the winners of Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIU DC)

Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC) became runner up in the Inter University National Debate Championship organized by Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The team of DIUDC was comprised with Al Mukitul Bary ( Dept of EEE), Omar Faruque Simanta (Dept of ESDM) and Mohammad Mesbah Uddin Hasib (Dept of CSE).
In the final of the championship Daffodil International University Debating Club was defeated to Jahangirnagar University Debating Society and became Runner Up in the Tournament.

Maj Gen Md. Salahuddin Miaji ,rcds, psc, VC, Bangladesh University of Professionals adorn the chair as the chief guest in the prize giving ceremony while Mr. Zakia Tazin, Chairman and Managing Director, Index Group was present as the special guest in the program. Omar Faruque Simanta of DIUDC was adjudged as the Debater of the tournament.

The debate was Asian Parliamentary Format competition in round-robin tournament which is known as Tab system in Debate arena.

In the preliminary rounds DIUDC defeated Jahangirnagar University -IBA, Jhanagirnagar University Debating Society (JUDS) , Dhaka University (Group Of Debaters- 1) , United International University Debating Club, Dhaka University (Group Of Debaters-2).

In the quarter final DIUDC sealed win against United International University Debating Club and moved in the semis. In the semi-final DIUC faced Dhaka University (Group of Debaters) and beat them as well to confirm the final berth.
