Students inspecting Laboratory activitiesat “Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd”
Department of EEE ofDaffodil International University (DIU) organized a day long tour for their students under the course “Power plant Engineering Laboratory” on October 23, 2017 at “Ashuganj Power Station Company Ltd” under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Md. Israfil Raju, Research Associate/Course Teacher, Department of EEE.
The tour was held as a part of the university’s Industrial Tour to help the students perceived from different evaluation that intellectual ability needs to be exercised to develop Practical based better performance in their real life situation in the field of power sector, where 22 students of EEE 17th Batch (Evening), Section-Cwere present.

At first they reached at the Ashuganj and they attend in a seminar to know overall activities of APSCL. After the seminar, they moved to the Control Room of the power station and they learned about how to produce electricity and different functions associated with electricity generation system .The Main attraction of the tour was the visiting Turbine, Boiler, Water treatment Plant, Generator, Condenser and they also visited five generation units around the APSCL.
The tour inspired the students to develop their practical knowledge and aim of the industrial visit connect with the course is to bring the students beyond the theory class and to gain practical experience in real life situation. It was a great day for students.

Department of EEE of Daffodil International University(DIU) also organized another day long tour under the course "Power plant Engineering Laboratory" in the same day at Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh ( EGCB) under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Borhan Miah and Mr. Md. Safayatulah, Lecturer, Department of EEE. 40 students of EEE L4_T1 joined the tour.
